<p>Complete the following sentences (#1-5) with whatever comes to your mind/heart.  Put down everything that you can think of for that emotion that pertains to your upset situation.</p>
<p>For example: <em>“I am angry that you wouldn’t listen to me.  I am angry that you treated me like a child.  I am angry that you sided with everyone else but me.  I am angry that you didn’t handle the situation better.  I am angry that you said I didn’t know what I was talking about.” </em></p>
<p>The final step, #6, is a different format.  See the instructions below.</p>
<p>1)    I am angry that?I hate that…</p>
<p>2)    I am sad/I am hurt…</p>
<p>3)    I am afraid…</p>
<p>4)    I wish/I want&#8230;</p>
<p>5)    I understand…</p>
<p>6)    Now, write a letter of apology to yourself from the point of view of the person with whom you are upset as if you were now them.  Hear what you need said.  Accept their apology if possible.   Feel Love.  If you can’t accept their apology at this time, perhaps you need to do this love letter again in the future.  You might want to do EFT tapping to release the emotions as well.</p>
